At the Infant Nurse Consultant meeting in November at the Snohomish Health District, the group discussed the potential demise of Infant Nurse Consulting.
Nicole DeFrank, RN (firstname.lastname@example.org), was at the meeting and volunteered to draft some talking points that INCs could use for the purpose of sending in comments to the Department of Early Learning (DEL) WAC Revision Portal. We request other INC programs and individuals who may be influential in reversing these proposals.
Click here to find current draft and proposed DEL rules and will be able to provide comments and suggestions. COMMENT DEADLINE: 1/31/2018 11:59:59 PM
Health consultation in early care and education settings is an important strategy for supporting children's health and development in the early years. IMPACT has published a free a 32 page report (download here) or read a one-page summary researching the role and benefits of health consultation in early learning settings, and reviewing policies, regulations, training, and payment structures used to support health consultation in Connecticut and other states. It also provides a framework for Connecticut to integrate health, through health consultation, into early learning systems by building on the opportunities presented by State health reform efforts.
